I know Wade owns 90% of the RH 59 Kodiaks known to be in exsistence and 60% of the LH's, just wondering who owns the remaining 40% of LH? I have 2.

I am happy to say I have one and I was also born in 1959

Joe - Please be fair to me, most of my bows are RH.

I only own 2 LH 1959 Kodiaks, a 56" and a 60".

And I would trade either of them for the same bow in a RH model...

Wade - Sorry, I was so unfair. The current count shows 5,'59 Kodiak lefties owned, you have 2, that is only 40%. I was wrong!

Joe - I guess if we each own two LH 1959 Kodiaks, we each own the same percentage of those known, whatever that total number may be.

I would guess that you will find there are a lot more LH 1959 Kodiak then you may realize.

Not sure if you have counted these 4 LH yet...

There is a LH, 64", with no riser overlays, all factory original. I rescued the bow, had it for a year or so and traded it away many years ago. Don't know who owns it now.

There is also a 60", 55# LH 1959 Kodiak that was owned by a fellow Trag Gang member, don't know if he still owns it, but you have not recorded one with those specs, you should.

There is the 64" 52# that sold Mar 19, 2009.

There is the 56" 50# that went unsold Mar 30, 2009.

I know I have seen many, many more LH 1959 Kodiaks sell since I have watch auctions over the past 11 years.

Just remembered I know a fellow back east who owns several LH 1959 Kodiaks including Maple Sight Window that he used for hunting that last time I visited him about 8 or 9 years ago.

Wade- I know thete are lots of LH '59er's I don't know about. I wish I owned more of them. I did however buy the LH 64", 52#, you mention. It is truly an exceptional, original MSW beauty. I am glad I got it even though it is a bit tough getting around right now without the arm and leg I paid for it.

Horney Toad

Horney Toad - a 97#,'59 LH Kodiak? Wow! Can you shoot it? I can only do curls with the 100#, '66 Kodiak, Bowdoc is re-finishing for me.

Horney Toad

And no, I don't shoot it. Doubt if I could even string it!

azdriheat

Horney Toad - Very nice and unusual. Great find! I know I can't begin to string my #100, I tried, gave up knowing I would hurt myself permently if I didn't. I am amazed some people are actually able to shoot this weight.

marlon

Joe that 100# bow is nice saw a picture that bowdoc posted. Marlon

Marlon-I missed the Bowdoc picture-post but I should be receiving the bow back any day now. Although I won't be able to even string it, after a couple of drinks and I am feeling macho, I will hold it in my hand and tell myself if I weren't so damn tipsy I know I could shoot it!
