I'm getting that feeling. But is a 56 Kodiak really a bow you can shoot on a regular basis or is it getting kind of old for that? Maybe these are just for show?

Got my 52" Wing 50# and it's a dandy. Draws smooth and shoots fast. It's a Head Ski model but very nicely done and in great shape.
Has the predrilled threaded holes for a Wing quiver on the back and a side mount for a Quickee quiver. Which would be the bettter choice?

Thanks all. Got my Red Wing hunter and Wing quiver and plan to go to the 3D shoot in NE Missouri on Sunday and try them out. Arrow suggestions are in order now. 50# bow and I draw 27". What do you think?

Sam I'm glad to hear you like your bow. I've got a head ski rwh 52 in 45 at 28 coming in the mail and look forward to shooting her as well. I was concerned that it was a head ski and not a true wing as some call it but sounds like the head ski are excellent shooters. I draw about 27 inches and shoot 29 in. 35/55 gt with 250 upfront on my recurves that are 50 lbs. but they are all ff. I'm not sure how the nonfast flight strings will affect that. I'll get back to you on that. Bhill

OK Brent. Enjoy. I've had both pre and post Head Ski models. I have to say that the wood on the pre Head models might have been prettier, but this Red Wing hunter is no slouch on the looks dept and shoots with the smoothness that Wing bows are known for. Mine is 50# at 52" and pulls easier than all my other 50# bows.

BTW, if you need a quiver for your Wing there are a few people on this thread who can help you out.

I'v got some questions. I have read alot on the history of bear archery but there seems to be little written on the history of wing archery. Any suggested readings? When exactly did head ski take over wing and when did amf take over head ski? Thanks Bhill

Good Question. There were some top notch bowyers involved with Wing and they made some sweet bows and as good looking as anything you'll ever see. Must be something written.
