You know I have skirted around so many Tamerlanes I could not begin to remember...I finally stayed on track and just bought a 1966 HC30 lefty...apparently I was just waiting until the prices came down a bit...the thing I like best about the bow is that the brush rest is still in great shape...many of them are missing it entirely

Most treasured is my original target bow, '66 Bear Tamerlane. Bought, sold and rebought again. Glad to have it back.

The two I'd never sell are a pair of 67.5 Super Kodiaks. One is 64" and 48#. The other is 60" and 48#. Not a scratch on either of them.

I treasure all of my bows so much I have trouble leaving any at home.  My Samic sage and journey are the ones I couldn't live without.

The one I long for is a 62" grizzly in a hunting weight.  Also an indian seneca with zebra wood riser, and a b riser magnesium take down and a pearson palemeno.

Dave, from what I've seen the prices keep going UP. How are you liking that Tamerlane?

The one I treasure the most is my 1966 66" Alaskan in 35#.  Given to me back around 80-81, and what got me into Archery.  The ones I'd like to get are a Tamerlane, Temujin, a target Polar, and a White Knight take down.  Also would like to get hold of 2 bear Cubs, one lefty and a right in like 20#, since it seems that when I go to the range on Saturdays, I run into younger kids that have been thinking about switching to trad.

I would like to have a bear takedown with the built-in sight in factory camo.  Dad ordered one the first year they came out and later on traded it for a wing  compound

A lot of amazing bows were traded for those early compounds. Our local archery shop used to have barrels of recurves that had been traded in.

A few guys were smart enough to offer those shop owners a small profit for their "junk" recurves and built great collections.

i finally found a nice 67-1/2 super k which was on my list for a long time. Now I want a 68 lol. It never stops as soon as I get the one I'm looking for I find another.my wife is right I have a problem. Just got a mint condition greenstripe too. Sooooooo prettty

I treasure them all. Having said that, my 1960 Kodiak Deluxe is very close to my heart along with a 62 Kodiak. I would love to have a 1959 and a 1960 Kodiak in the 50# range.

I have a 68 SK coming either today or tomorrow.  Never owned one so this'll be my first.

Also like the multi-colored Bear Mag TDs.  Owned one in 'Little Delta' Green for a while.

   

Always have a soft spot for the 59-60 Alaskan.  Slim and graceful, lefty and righty, plus that snazzy black and orange glass.  What's not to like?

A 1962 Bear Kodiak 50# with a great story to it.Got it from the land owner where I hunt deer. Was walking past his shed to go deer hunting ,I was carrying a 70's grizzly.and he said from the shed, I want to show you something.He took me to his shop and there was all his old archery stuff he had from early 60's.after Vietnam. I said I coleect the stuf and he said its for sale.The bow had the camo tape on it.So I took it home and cleaned it off and shot it and thought ,I want this bow bad. Ended up buying it and the other stuff.Got some arrows that shot good out of it and quivered up and  the first hunt with it I shot the buck of my life.Score 162 inches. When I showed the land owner the buck he told me he had never shot a deer with the bow but that was back in the day before the pop. explosion. I felt honored to have broke it in for him.
