This is a good one for you Arne. I am right handed when shooting longbow. I am having an issue with my arrows hitting left of spot I am trying to hit. I figured it out, but not sure what to do to correct it.
When I release, my left wrist rotates to the right throwing my arrows to the left.
I may be gripping to hard on the handle, but when I loosen my grip, the string noise increases pretty bad.

There are a couple of areas to look at.  First and most important, is your string hand moving back along your jaw or flipping out to the side?  Second, without seeing, it is hard to tell but what kind of grip are you using for your bow hand?  Take a look at ( do a search for) a thread called "grip question."  I posted some pictures there of a SUGGESTED grip that may help.

I wouldn't worry about string noise until you have solved the "left" issue.

Are you willing to give up what you are; to become what you could be?

Asumming your arrows are correctly spined, if you cant your bow make sure your string is in alignment with the cant of the bow or you would be torking your string out of alignment which would send your arrow high left.It worked for me.
