Been shooting a lower poundage (54#@28) and draw a consistent 28" (clicker). This is a slight rf/df longbow shot right handed. I felt like my arrows weren't flying quite right. So I videoed right behind me tonight and when I watch it seem like the arroe comes out tail left then corrects. So it doesn't fishtail, it just tails left. These carbons are giving me fits! They are GT 55/75 29.75" with 250 up front with 3 5 1/2 feathers. What gives? Anyone? Thanks!

Sounds asthough you are hitting the riser and your flechings are large enough to correct the problem. You may need to try a weaker spined arrow.

Steadman, did you bare shaft?

I'm shooting 5575s in a 51# @ 30" recurve. In full length arrows (32-1/2) I bare shafted way left with 145 gr. pts. I ended up cutting 1-1/2" off and going down to 125 gr. That improved the nock left and four fletch feathers straightened them but I can still see a distinct left fish tail before they correct.

I have one arrow four fletched with 3" parabolic feathers and it nocks left of the 4" feathers every time.

I'm right handed and as I understand it, that is showing weak spine.

I don't think my 4" feathers would kick them off like that at any rate. I tried rotating the nocks all the way around and same thing.

I got some 7795s and at full length with 175 gr. head they bare shaft dead straight over and over again. I'm getting restocked with feathers tomorrow from 3R and we'll see what they do dressed.

At my draw length/poundage I am right on the line between 5575s and 7795s on the charts, but bare shafting sends me either too short or too light on the front.

So I'm going to stiffer shafts.

No I have a hard time bareshafting. What's crazy is my 80-85# woods with 200 up front shoot great! Mabey I'm underspined for some reason (me)

Went back out tonight with 3 different spine ranges and 3 different field point weights. Got the CE Heritage 250 with 300 up front to shoot like darts where I'm looking. No more worries. Thanks guys!
