Learn good form, and then practice.

No matter how inaccurate you are you hit the spot every once in a while.  Whatever you did, do it again.  As Dave said, the misses are form related.

For some constructive advice . . .

Pick a small spot to aim at every time.  Your bow hand should grip the bow in such a way that it can jump straight toward the target when you loose an arrow.  Make sure you have a solid anchor (a two-point anchor is optimal).  If you don't know what that is search TradGang for instruction.  Your release should come straight back.  In the exact opposite direction that you want the arrow to travel.  Don't rush the shot -give yourself time to aim.  Keep us posted and feel free to ask more questions.

CONSISTENCY is key. We all want good form but there are shooters with bad form that can do everything exactly the same. That's why they hit the same spot over and over and look strange doing it.

Learn good form and learn to execute it subconsciously.   That way you can totally immerse yourself in aiming without worrying about what is happening on the back end of the shot.

Start close and gradually work back so that you gain confidence in your shot at every distance.

Confidence is one of the under rated secrets to good shooting.
