This time of year it seems like a melding of things. Starting to get ready for the season but it's getting hotter than a $2 pistol too.
If you're gonna be stupid, ya gotta be tough.

I "try" to get in 30 minutes a day. Doesn't always happen.Even if I can't squeeze in that much time I try and get out and shoot at least a half a dozen "good" arrows. Sometimes just time enough for 1 shot. But I try and make that one count.

I have a hard time focusing for more then 3 - 5 shots.  So I do that, then move my target around (a cabela dear), up the hill or down or I go up the hill.  Shoot 3 - 5 more, etc. takes a while but I shoot very few shats.

I am new to recurve shooting as of 3 months ago.  For the past 2.5 months or so I have been shooting on average around 100-120 shots a day, 6 days a week.  I figure I need to groove in good form and shot sequence so when the moment of truth arrives I react with instinct instead of panic and over thought.

I find I do much better doing it only when I feel motivated to shoot.  Usually I get the motivation after dinner when I'm relaxed from a day working around my place.  If I've done hard physical labor or play 18 holes of golf I'm too tired so don't shoot.  I don't bang a lot of arrows unless it's really cool and pleasant and then I go to my 16 target course at my house.

Week days, from 30 minites to an 1 hour.
On most weekends,,pretty much all day both days.
Shooting is about all I do nowdays.
I have a Dog,a Goat,and a wife.
I don't need to bark,trim the hedge,or mow the lawns,,,;^)
Winning or losing is not the important thing,,the important thing is how well you played the game.

Old York

15 to 30 shots, every other day.
Much more than that, I begin a downward slide.

Nothing on a schedule but it will be as often as I can. My favorite is w/ a judo around the yard.  I make a couple of rounds and then inside before the skeeters carry me away.

I shoot 1 to 2 hours a day except on 3d shoot days. Working on form change also shoot some blank bail every day that I pratice.

All depends on the day, and the kids.  If it's nice out, I'm out after work.  If the kids finish their dinner, we all go out.  If they do bad, than nobody gets to shoot.  It's a great motivator for them, they love shooting with me, and I love shooting with them.

If I go to work at my regular 8am time, I shoot 45 minutes every morning. Some days I'm up and gone before daylight though.
I try to shoot an hour or so in the evenings if I make it home before dark and have my chores taken care of.

The Butcher

I shoot every day. sometimes longer, sometimes shorter.  I try and make my first arrow the best arrow.  Normal routine, is stand in the garage and "dry draw" the bow for 10 times holding for 5 seconds or more, stretching my muscles "I do this before each hunt, and in the tree stand or on the ground, when nothing is happening".  I usuallay shoot 5 arrows, ten times.  I start at 10 yds, and then 15 then 20 then 25 then mix it up from there.  I concentrate more on release, than anything else.  The spot, just naturally comes.

Butcher, this is about what I do myself several times a day, every day.

Cottonwood,
seems to work, I try and not fatique myself, as then the shooting goes down the drain.  This routine, seems to just  keep me sharp.  I'd like to shoot more, but I know bad habits are sure to follow.

I don't know usually i try to shoot for an hour 5 days a week which translate to probably 100 arrow each time i go out. Changing distances ever once in awhile. Usually shooting 8 arrow groups or maybe less.

Pete Arthur

For me, I shoot until I get tired. I know I am getting tired when my shots start to fall apart. Usually, that is 20-30 arrows. One thing I will say though is that it's all about form. Once the form starts to go, bad things will follow!
