I have two Schafers one 51# FF the other 55# non ff. When I shoot AD heavy arrows 29" with 125 gr tips the arrows shoot good from the non ff but the other one the arrows is hitting my hand in the web and causes a cut. That would mean the arrows are pushing left (RH shooter) What would be the fix?
If I would go to wood arrows what spine should I start with I shoot 28" draw also.
Thanks

For spine I would try 55-60 spined wood arrows as a start.Check your nocking points for both bows and compare.

DEATHMASTER

They are the same nocking point. Thanks for a start point on arrows.

I have the same problem.  53#@28, with a 26.5" draw.  Shooting goldtip 3555's.  I believe the spine is ok.  The bottom hen feather, shooting cock feather out, is causing a bloody gash in my right hand.

I was wondering if changing from right wing to left would possibly help?

DM, I'm assuming your Shafer is a recurve and cut at least to center.  With wood arrows cut to 29", you will want at least 65-70 and maybe 5lb more.  Whispering Wind has a very good spine chart that will help you figure the correct spine.  For you first set of woods, I recommend you spine on the high side and cut them long.  Shorten the shafts until they shoot bullet holes or bareshaft well.  It's always easier to deal with too much than not enuf.

Yes a recurve. Thanks for the suggestions on the arrows.
