Go to your local bowling alley and ask them for a bottle of New Skin. I keep a bottle of it in my fanny pack for cuts or blisters. This works for me till I get home.

If your using a brass nocking point try a tie on instead.

Mike, I did that just last week. Still have the same problem??

Same problem here but the calous is getting tougher. I did switch gloves to a smaller size and very snug and it seemed to help.
Those brass nocking points can be rough.

I had a similar problem but it was on my ring finger. What I finally figured out obviously is that I was putting too much pressure on that finger. Now I focus a little on lifting my middle finger up just a little and making sure the most pressure in on it and then the other two pick up pressure as I draw. If you have Masters of the bare bow 1 Dale Karch mentions this and that what I finally had to do. The funny thing is that once I have gotten used to it my release is much smoother than it ever was.

Good luck

I had the same problem with my old calf-hair tabs, and decided to try a SAM Tab (Super Archery Mit). There was a very brief adjustment to the new feel, but it only took a few shots to adapt (use a deep hook), and completely did away with any sort of finger discomfort. I can shoot for hours with no pain or irritation at all. Makes it a lot more fun when you're not hurting yourself!
