Does anyone shoot this system? It's similar to the Dart system. I shoot at Uncle Bob's on Thurs night. It's a real blast except when you get the bird senerio. They are frustrating
I'm the only stick shooter, wish some of the other trad guys would come out. It's still fun & we really enjoy teasing each other. It's really nice during winter here. Today we have winds that are probably 35+ mph. Frank

Trad Kid, the Dart & Techno Hunt systems are shooting at animals projected onto a screen that is (I Think) heavy canvas. The animals are very realistic & you can have obsticales & other things in the way. You only have so much time to shoot. The Techno Hunt gives you a numerical value to each shot & shows you where you hit.
Both systems are computer generated & I don't even understand how they work. It is really fun seeing where you hit,or not, after each shot.
You have to use rounded blunts so as not to tear the screen. I got glue on's from Kustom King. Most of the shooters there are compound fellas & gals so just use screw in blunts.
If there is one in your area it is really fun to shoot. Hope this description helps. Frank

that sound awsome i need to find a place that has one of those

jrchambers

you have to replace your field tip with a large washer tip that has a some kind of a reflecter on the back when it hits the projector takes a photo of it,  the only problem with it around here is they only have up to 125gr tips and no glue ons rrrrrrrrrr.

jrc, get some screw-in adapters for your woodies.  The adapter will add some weight and, with luck, the adapter plus the 125 gr screw-in might be close to the weight you're used to.  Techno-hunts are a ball!

This is my first time shooting on the winter Techno Hunt League at my local shop (Wilderness Dreams in Sand Lake, MI).

It has been a lot of fun.  Lucky to have a good group of trad guys there too, we also have a trad shop in the store as well!

We do love our archery here in Michigan.

I love it I think its a blast.  Seems like I step in to shoot and two hours has gone by.  Two more weeks of techno here.  Lucky I gap shoot.  If I had one complaint it would be that in one scene I get a bull elk that fills up the screen and the next a beat that looks like he's 60 yards away.  My brain seems to try to shoot for that.  I realize there's not much that can be done for this but it still is fun.

If I remember correctly I got my blunt points from Kustom King. they were listed for the dart system, but work well for the Techno hunt too. I use woodies & when my blunts came in I showed them to the owner of the shop & he said, looks like it will work. They do, They are brass & glue on. It's a hoot. Can't wait till Thursday. Frank

For those of you who use or have the system can someone get me the name of the manufacturer? I have been searching for the dart system but cannot find any info. This techno hunt seams to be the same thing. Thanks Jason

I like to do it every now and then.  I think that if you are a instinctive shooter like me it really messes with you.  The images are that of animals at different yardages but your shot is alway at 20 yards.  Messes with my perception of distance when I shoot after shooting the thing.

Frank V,
Where do you shoot at... near Dillon?  Just curious... I'm from Bozeman.

I first shot a dart system in the early 90's.  It was an elk scenario.  I stood there crouched low, as motionless as I could waiting for my chance to shoot.  I watched this Bull for what seemed to be an eternity when all of a sudden the screen went white.  The guy that owned the shop informed me the scenario was over, and why didn't I shoot?  I replied "He was looking right at me the whole time!".  Feel free to quote this and pass it along.  Everyone needs to laugh as loud as he did.
Shoot strait and have fun!

Scriv,

That is exactly what I did!!!  When the system first came out I used to shoot it twice a week.  I haven't seen one in years.  The small town I live in now has no archery shop.

Anyone know how much these cost?  I am thinking of getting a group together and purchasing one.
