Looking for some input on my form,, I got a couple pics and couple small videos of my draw and shooting at the range(Thanks Tim     ),, I do focus my draw in my back,,I shoot well but really need some input to take it to the next level,, I shoot very well with in 22 yards and some days out to 30 but I would like to get some input on making 30 yard shots more consistant,,Maybe not in hunting but practicing at that yardage makes those shorter shots seems like there a chip shot but I would like to get them in there tight at 30 or farther,,JB

Few pics and video of me shooting,,some at a 3-D shoot,, also some are on the first round and some on the fourth round that day,,and the rock and roll is just part of me,I love all music,JB

Your shoulders are out of alignment and you raise your elbow as you draw. Also you change your head position from shot to shot Jason.

Dave,,should I turn more or drop them down,,I turn my head with the cant of my bow,,Sometimes I cant more than other shots, got any ideas on correcting my shoulders and head?? How about that elbow, Try and keep it flatter,, maybe all of these are part of one another Thanks Dave,  Jason

Jason, What I see is a big guy, making himself smaller. By that I mean you are so scrunched up when shooting, you're robbing yourself of some of your god given size.

Try not to lean so much into the shot, keep your head back and draw the string to your face. Try almost to feel like your leaning back, most of your weight on your back foot, instead of your front.Try to over do it in the beginning just to see how it feels and how it improves your alignment.

I think by doing this it will get your shoulders more square, your elbow back further and in a better line, and will give you more power stroke/improved arrow performance.

From what I've seen in 22 yrs as a trad shooter, this is a very common thing when shooting a trad bow. I know, I used to do it. My shooting has become so much more consistent the last few years as a result of "stretching out" a bit, and using what god gave me. I'm not very big,but I draw over 28"s...

Just my opinion bud, try it, see how it feels....

What Curt said....I bet there's nearly 2 more inches of draw length hidden in your shot.  Shoulders perpendicular, and full extension.

Glad to hear it bud...always happy to help

Like I said earlier...this is such a common thing that I see.....a lot of folks don't really see what their bows can really do.....and most guys don't draw as far as they think they do.....

Looking forward to some updated video......

A lot more consistent Jason. Your head and shoulders were lined up a lot better and you kept your elbow down real well.

I would like to still see you achieve a little more draw length to help with better alignment but I can definitely see improvement!

Keep at it!

Guru

Jason, Looks good bud...how do you feel shooting,is your left/right more consistent?

Just remember to always think about pulling with that elbow and getting it back where it should be....

Yes it is,,thats why I put my camera right above my bag target,,I shot three for the center one to the top and one to the bottom all from about 20 yards,,more consistant but everynow and then I fell the cruch creeping in and I still have to remind my self to square my shoulders,,I really can't see my anchor gettin any longer cause I'm actually anchoring on the corner of my mouth but better yet I feel the glove get behind my pointy tooth,The bigshot glove is deceving to the camera's eye,,but I'll definatley make a note of it and keep workin on it,,Thanks guys,,Jason B.
