in the last 4 days 183 different trad gang members have logged into the test forum.  

one possible issue was that the test forum password security was set higher than in this current forum.  i lowered the test forum security and that should help.

if not, please email me rob@tradgang.com with your trad gang member number and the type of error(s) you're getting during your test forum login.  i'll get it to work for ya, promise.

Is there a way to resize images as part of the image posting process to TradGang, or do images have to be resized before posting them?

all images posted in the new forum will auto-resize, no problem.  

you can use an online archive service such as imgur, and put images directly into your posts.  those images will always reside on imgur and not trad gang.  if imgur goes away or gets crazy as photobucket has just done by not allowing images to be shown, the better and easier way to post images is via a post attachment.

trad gang post attachments - your images - will be there to see in trad gang as long as there is a trad gang.  they'll never go away.

there's a youtube video tutorial i made last week on just how to do this, and folks have been doing lots of these attachments.

as folks are getting the hang of the new forum software, and learning how to use at least some of the new forum features (there's a lot and lots more to come!), like anything done at least a few times, it becomes easy and fast.  hang in there, the best is yet to come ...

Dave you don't need to worry about resizing with the possible exception of humongous images that are generated by mobile phones.  You will know right way if the exception applies to your attempt.

As of right now it looks like Sunday, March 18th will be the beginning of the live cutover to the new server, new software, new forum.  The entire conversion will take at least a full week, 7 days.  

When it's firmed up, a new thread will be started here at Powwow with more details.

Finally got in!

I was unable after 3 attempts. So, i logged out on this site then logged back in. No problem - credentials all correct.

Then tried the new site and voila! Entry!

New site looks good - gui seems intuitive. Not gonna upload pics for now, but others seem to have success.
