Michael, your perseverance is inspirational! Thought when you get a minute you might like to read an account of one of the similar situations Scifres referenced up above. He not only did the lion's share of the really difficult tracking, he did all the story telling. I never would've found the deer in the story had it not been for the help of John, Billy and Brent.

Kudo's on finding that beautiful buck!!

Saw a program on TV yesterday and the guy had pretty much the same thing happen. He made a statement that is sticking with me. He said, "Once I made the initial mistake I knew I could not afford to make any more mistakes if I was going to find that deer."

You did everything right after the bad hit and came home with the buck. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
