Possum,

We got to get together soon for you to try her out..

I felt like tonight was to be her night to get bloody, but the deer didn't cooperate.

Although I did get bloody, just my own blood   :scared:    :knothead:

Did a little bit of shooting in the rain this evening.  Our church canceled night services due to flash flooding in and around the area.

So while stuck at home, might as well shoot, what a little water, right?

My shooting been terrible most of this year, and had got a couple Tabs to try and help a bad release.  They have not help!

Dan at "Montana Bows" is not only a great bowyer, but will try and diagnose your shooting ails as well.

So while talking bows and ordering I mentioned my TP issues and tendencies to torque the string producing a bad release with a pronounced "pluck".

He asked how I draw the bow and how my hand laid on the string?

I said I use a deep hook, and he said thats good.  He said hold your hand like its on your bow string, now take your thumb and lay it on the pinky fingers first joint.  Now imagine your drawn back keeping the thumb on the pinky finger and slowly drag it till it falls off.

So I did so and as the thumb drags off the pinky finger the three other finger spring open as if on a trap door

He said now incorporate that in your draw and release routine.  I said this may be the "Trigger" mechanism that keeps my mind off the target till I'm ready to release and battle the dreaded TP as well.

So this evening I tried this with my glove (back up a little, I had tried this with my Tab but could not get it to work. that is touching the pinky) and it worked great!

My release was really smooth and wow Quiet!  I was able to control my shots a lot better while focusing on making that "dragging off" movement.

Had quite the string of tens going on my target.

That's awesome. So glad it helped. You may also want to let down on a regular basis. I have had tp for years and letting down was the only thing that helped me. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful bow a whip is one I want to try eventually
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6
