This is a joint effort by TradGang and PBS for the promotion and appreciation of Traditional Bowhunting.  Any members of TradGang or PBS will be able to participate.  The winner will be voted on by the members of TradGang and PBS.  Start Date was October 3rd - End Date Feb 15th.

The Deadline for posting your videos will be Febuary 28th....and we will vote before March 15th .

1 - You make a Traditional Bowhunting Video in good taste and respectable for the Sport.

2 - You get your video hosted online(youtube) AND         TITLE IT as such...

"2017 VIDEO (the rest of your title here as you wish to label)"

That was they can all be kept up with easier.

3 - You Post the Video on TradGang and PBS like a normal thread.

4 - We will copy your post link onto another forum for archiving to keep them all in one local for the time voting comes around.

If this turns out well, we will start the next year March 15th and do it again.

PBS is proud to partner with Tradgang on this contest, and we look forward to seeing what the talented folks on here can do.   As Terry said above, please make sure all videos are tasteful and represent the ideals of both The Professional Bowhunter Society and Tradgang.   For more information on PBS, go to professionalbowhunters.org.

I have zero talent for this sort of thing, and when I see a good video - one like Clay Hayes produces (a high bar for sure) that displays the emotion and touches on what drives us do all this, I am humbled.   I do look forward to see what folks can come up with.   And I will pass on the kudos - the original idea came from my good friend Don Davis, from Melbourne, Fl.

Gene Wensel

I'm a little confused. When you say "Make a video" do you mean with music and a story line or theme such as people like Clay Hayes has been doing? Not just good footage, right? Does footage have to be taken within these proposed dates?

Possum Head

The best videos I've seen had no music. You would almost think it was filmed in the woods where you could hear a pin drop.

Gene, I will let Terry clarify for sure, but I think it is just an open contest.   Might have music, might just be rednecks making incredible shots on running deer on river bottoms.  I am sure Terry can clarify the dates for footage etc.  It will tough to enforce specific dates, but it would be nice if footage is not stuff that is already all over the youtube.  My two cents.  I won't participate, I only take decent photos by accident.

Terry Green

The video has to be filmed between the dates. I guess I didn't specify that clear enough.... sorry about that.  It's for this fall and winter hunting season.

I guess you could decide whether you wanted to have music or not or just footage or not but again it needs to be film between October 3rd and Feb 15th....and must be posted as a complete video by Feb 28th.

I hope that makes sense...if not please let me know.

Here's one from my African hunt back in August, just enjoy it and don't worry about the date it was done. Its this years.

This is a fun idea.  Glad that you clarified Terry, I was just about to post a cool trad video some PBSers made on a membership hog hunt earlier this year.  The PBS is doing that hunt again early next year, so hopefully we'll make an even better video for this contest.

I hope I get some editing time.  I just filmed my sons first Alaska caribou hunt.  It was a great experience watching him stalk and take a bou.
