Just got done making this crazy Hybrid bow for fellow Tradganger Shawn.
The bow is all Mango, the riser is resin stabilized, veneers are spalted Mango.
Limbs are Double Carbon/Yew topped off with Bighorn Sheep Tips.To finish it off I made Antler knobs from sheds found last year!
The bow is 62" 52# @28"
I'm pleased to say the bow shoots as good as it looks!

Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Thanks Curt  we've been trading and going back and forth for some time now.  This hunter bow is out of this world the fit and finish is top notch.  Nothing overlooked there was a bunch of time effort and money put into the limb design to give it more preload and shoot lights out. Curt's grip also makes it very hard to torque the bow so therefore it's just  a breeze to shoot.  It goes right where your looking every time.  The bow is dead in the hand and has absolutely no shock.  I put a string on it from simply traditional (steve angel) and am just now getting he bow shot in.  Its so quiet my son was standing about 15 yards away with his back to me is and all he could hear was the arrow hitting the target.

I was able to play with the bow some with finger release and 12.25 Gpp arrows and it shot consistently 168-170 fps. Which is way enough for anything I'll ever hunt.  Hell if they wanna duck it they are going to anyways.   I plan on getting more data one day but for now I just gaze at her beauty and dream ofelk season in 40 days.

The pics don't even come close to seeing this beauty come to life with your own eyes.

Oh LORD in Heaven!!

That is one beautiful bow!  I find it very difficult to believe that it shoots as good as it looks.  If it does, that is one of the best shooting bows ever posted here.

If you are still in the mood to build for fellow TG'ers, feel totally free to start to work on one for me.  I'll take one in whatever you want to use in 45-46 pounds!
Heck I wouldn't mind if you went down to the local Piggly Wiggly and got a couple of used PALLETS and used that wood to build me a bow!

Thanks for letting the rest of us enjoy your work.

Killer...Curt how deep does the resin go into the riser wood, and is stabilization done before or after the riser is shaped?
Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.

IdahoCurt

David,
The stabilizing happens to the block of wood before anything is done due to the high pressure and heat needed for the process, when finished this Mango literally feels like it's made of stone and is impervious to the elements. The resin completely penetrates the entire piece.
Thanks
