Using a synthetic material in a natural ground blind

I was touching up my ground blind for this upcoming season and was wondering how a synthetic material would work out in a natural ground blind to cover up some "holes".
I've had a great encounter in this blind last year and didn't want to mess it up with a material that is not natural. I got this at a local sporting goods shop that is closing its doors. It's a 3d  "cover up" that is used for duck hunting etc. regular price was $39.00 and got it for $11.99. I DO use a ghillie suit in this  blind.

I use it all the time. Hang it outside for a while to air it out then set it up well ahead of time.

It will work well, unless there are cows on the property. Cows will rip it to shreds!!!! Just make sure to put it out plenty early so that it becomes part of the scene!

I always like to lean some branches on them.  Blends in better to whats around it and it also keeps it from moving too much if there is a breeze.

If it does not have a bad odor it will work just fine. I have used synthetic stuff along with natural material, and it blends in nicely.

I have used it with good success....but like Bisch said, for some reason cows love to tear it down and almost play" with it.....

Have synthetic materials for a multitude of ground blin.

Hang mine from the inside of the blind on over half of the applications.

Use old Christmas artificial garland nd artificial trees . You can build your own forest and bend the branches to where you need them

Have utilized no less than 40 artificial Christmas trees to brush-in current ground sets.

Typically, having to hall 100 plus cedars to the farm. The artificial trees are far superior to work with and have been proving to have greatly extended longevity. My most productive sets have the articial trees.

Sanitation saves them for me each year.

Tennis nets work great.

In our area, the city replaces the public tennis court nets. The old are discarded.

I picked up 6 nets last year and removed the white border. Note: This netting is heavy duty.

Another idea for some permanent blinds that has werked well for me is welded concrete wire.  A 10 ft section placed in front of some good back cover and then brush in the front.  You can cut out some areas to shoot - and weave logs and brush in it to make you disappear - and they last a long long time

It works, but if I read the WI regulations correctly (just moved back to WI after 4 years in Iowa), if you add any amount of synthetic material to a ground blind you need to display blaze orange on all sides of the blind, at least on public land. Just food for thought.

I have used that netting in the past BUT as it ages and sits in the sun it gets brittle and loud when the wind blows or you brush up against it.

I use ground blinds on my property. I use used lattice around me and over head and the lay branches against it and on top of it.  To me it is just as important to cover your over head as it is around you.

Again that is on private land.
