Looking to purchase a quality game cart. Key word being quality. I've looked at what the major retailors offer, and based on the reviews don't see anything that fits my criteria for quality. There might be some out there, but I didn't find them.
I used to have info on some private individuals who manufactured custom game carts, but in my switch to a new computer lost that info. The one that I found most intriguing was a cart that had a V-shaped carrying platform with splayed wheels. There were other manufacturers whose products looked promising as well.
Curious as to what Tradgang members can recommend.

May not be what you are looking for but the Cabelas magnum cart is bulletproof with the dual wheel kit.  I have hauled many deer and elk out wit mine. You can get one whole quartered elk on it + horns and hide on it and can be handled relatively easy.  There used to be one you could buy with motorcycle wheels and brakes on it that was HD.  Can't remember the brand.

Kevin,

I think the one you described is the Nxt Shot Versa Cart... I've had one for years and wouldn't trade it for the world...

They were out of production for a while, but I think the original fellow is making them again out of South Carolina...

Here's a pic in action...

I have the folding aluminum cart from Cabelas.  I use a tree stand safety harness and clip it so the cart is right at my butt muscle height. It makes it much easier to haul out a deer when I can lean into the load walking straight ahead of the cart. I let anyone use it that needs it.  It has hauled out many deer and is still in perfect shape.  My generosity has paid off, I have not had to pull out a deer myself in years.  Former users always bring me my cart and pull it for me.

Kevin, the cart that "twigflicker" mentions is a great cart, if you can find one. A couple of friends bought them years ago and they're very stable and strong.

Twigflicker, that's the one! Thanks!
Bucknut, I don't see where Cabela's makes the Magnum cart anymore???

Just got off the phone with the NXT Shot Versacart guy. Glad you guys were able to help me find him and his cart!

I have an older Cabelas. Bought it used. Works great. Not only for game but stands and ladders as well.

Bought one from a guy in Havre, Montana last year, it was during the season, so didn't get much of a chance to use it, but it is well made, super easy to use, and can be pushed or pulled. This guy ,ales them in his shop, looked at a whole bunch of commercially made ones, and wouldn't touch most of them.
Thanks,
Tim

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

I'm really considering the Uriah Car Go Cart. Kind of a 2 in 1 deal and I'd not have to worry about lifting a deer into my SUV.
