My Lands... Are Where My Dead Lie Buried.......Crazy Horse

I'm really a "low-tech" guy and don't know how to post pictures. I got home this weekend from that speaking engagement in Ruston, Louisiana (600 people for dinner) and found a message on my machine saying I won the 2017 trailcam national photo contest (deer category). It was the first time I ever entered so I was pretty pleased. Got a nice new camera out of the deal. I was especially pleased because it was a photo of the buck I killed on Nov. 21, 2016, which happened to fall on the 57th anniversary of the day I killed my first whitetail. Pretty neat. They made a website banner out of it that came out great. As I said I don't know how to post pics but you can open their website at  www.trailcampro.com  if anyone wants to see it. If that's a no-no I apologize. Best of luck to all. BW

Barry, ya just convinced me that you are "low-tech".                   It's proven by the wrong time on your beautiful photo. (It is pretty dark around here at 5:31 PM on Nov 21).      :)      :)

John/Creekwood: You are absolutely right. Good eye. I actually killed the deer about 3:30 PM on Nov. 21, 2017. So the time/date was obviously wrong. A couple days after I shot the buck I pulled the SD card and found the photo. It was taken at a scrape about half a mile away. He's doing the overhead branch thing checking out Smokey's pre-orbital stuff (he's NOT looking up into trees for fat guys as was previously suggested)   :goldtooth:   When I first saw the picture it didn't even hit me at first. The thought popped into my head "There's a nice photo taken right after I shot that buck the other day." Then I realized it was him and the time was just off. Anyway, great photo, even if I do say so myself. Several people commented it looks like a great whitetail painting. Thanks for posting it. Best of luck guys. bw
