Hey all,  dreaming about my next bow. Looking hard at a RER CXR. Looks like a nice static tip recurve. Anyone have any experience with one? If so,  please share and don't forget the pics! Thinking about a 60", longer working limb with short riser, hopefully that'll give me enough working limb with my 29.75" draw.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks all!

Yellow Dog

I draw 30" and a few years back asked Kevin about one at my draw length. His answer was "definitely not". I was inquiring about a 58"er.

Talked to Chester the other day about it,  he had suggested either the 60" CXR or the 62" XR. I'm currently shooting a Bear takedown A riser with static #3s (60"). It's smooth,  but could be smoother on a B riser at my draw.

Anyone have any experience with the smaller sight window? I'm liking this fixed crawl system and seems like that would make a smaller sight window a non-issue.

Any other experiences would be appreciated,  thanks all

I'd listen to yellow dog he has first hand experience

I draw 28 inches and shot the CXR no problem.  I wouldn't think at your draw you'd be happy.

Whip

I have a 62" XR and it's smooth as silk at my 29" draw. I'm not positive, but I think I remember that the grip is a little shorter on the CXR in addition to the shorter sight window.

I had one but the sight window was too short for me. It didn't work for my style of shooting. I got a 62" lx and love it!

I have both an CXR and an XR both at 58" for my 28" draw and love them both!  Excellent quality (read: fast and dead in hand) and beautiful bows -- I get stopped and asked about them at every shoot.  I would not hesitate to buy!

I draw 30" and I have a 62" LXR (recurve and longbow limbs).  One of my all time favorites.  The riser is plenty short on an XR and you have plenty of working limb.  Very smooth and very fast.  I've shot the 60" and that would have worked for me too, but I slightly preferred the 62".

I had a 62" XR with a 29.5" draw and I felt it was 'almost' too long...it shot great but I felt I could probably get even more out of the 60" and still maintain an acceptable string angle.  Sounds like 62" would work well for you since you draw just a whisker more.

I'd go with a 62" XR. I draw 29" and felt the 62"  was a little more comfortable and accurate for me to shoot than the 60"
