As far as yardages, I would say they are comparable to IBO shoots. Maybe some over 30 yard...big targets like Moose or Buffalo, but not too many.

I had both knees replaced 6 months ago, so I can related to the knee pain. Personally, I wouldn't try the first two ranges if I were you, but you are 33 years younger than me and probably heal a lot quicker!! ;<)

I dont know about the healing quicker part, when the lawnmower blade hit it cut through the patellar tendon, knee joint and took about a 50 cent piece size chunk of bone. The shin side of my leg is completely numb which is odd but at times probably good because i cant feel the pain. Is it possible to do the shoot in one day like an ibo or is it broke down to where you have to shoot multiple days to complte like asa

Hoosierarcher88-You can shoot it all on Friday, Saturday or even all on Sunday morning. I usually shoot it all on Friday or Saturday and spend the rest of the time on the practice range or visiting with friends in the camping area. You would have to be moving pretty quick to get it all done on Sunday morning. Monty Browning is the featured speaker on Saturday evening and he is always well worth listening to. Hope to see you there!

I may just shoot the practice range depepnding on how froggy im feeling. Id hate to get out on the big range and not be able to complete the shoot due to my knee. Some days go good and others i wake up to my leg telling me nope your gonna be lazy today. It will be nice to get out and meet some new people and maybe learn a thing or 2. Right now im in the wonderful rock and hard place deciding if i want to do trad or olympic recurve. Olympic would be more familiar but trad seems more satisfying

Well after some discussion with my wife im going to go friday and saturday. Im going to break the shoot down into 2 parts so im not so wore down plus ill have time to hit up the vendors and see what is out there and get to talk to people. Just realized i dont really have a quiver(just a little field quiver) so i just cut the leg off a pair of jeans and braided a paracord strap to make a simple back quiver for the shoot. Are there any rules about all the arrows having to match exactly? All mine are the same shafts, weight and fletch, ive just got a few without crests and a few with.
