Bear Grizzly medallion

I just bought a used bear grizzly. It has a medallion with Fred's face and it says "fred bear bow hunting equipment co." The medallion is flush with the wood.ive never seen this medallion before. Is it legit?

Yea. It is. It was only offered a short time. You have a Gainesville bow, correct?

From 1998 - 2003 it was on the Gainesville bows.
