At the time I'm shopping for a 200 grn 2-blade broadhead for my wife. Anyone have experience with the ACE super express or the new Grizzly Bruin? I have ACE standards, they mount and spin super easy. My concern about the ACE super express is the width? Any problems with wind planing? Is this too wide for low poundage? (43-44 pounds at 24.5" from a hybrid longbow). I like the width to length ratio of the Bruin for low poundage but my concern with them is how easily do they align? I thought all broadheads would be easily aligned until I struggled with some woodsmans and I haven't seen any reviews or feedback about the Bruins.

They will be mounted on a 5/16" shaft if that matters.

I use ACE standards 200 grn.,they fly true and never noticed any wind plane. I'm sure the Bruin is also good but never tried the one you mentioned. Only way to know is try it.

Mark do use a standard in 200 grain or a super express? The super express is listed as 1-7/16" wide, is why I ask.

Bruin is outstanding.  That would be my choice for a 200 grain 2 blade.

I have used the 200 gr super express in the past, great head. Killed a few deer and the bison in my avatar with that head. Mounted on a 5/16 Sweetland arrow for the deer and a 11/32 maple arrow for the bison.

Thanks everyone. Looks like it comes down to flipping a coin. With the 7/16" wider width of the super express sounds so much wider than the Bruin but at the end of the day sounds like me over-thinking again. I'll make a decision, pull the trigger then get them sharp. The rest is up to her.

Make yourself an arrow roller to check head alignment. I use a box of that has small letters and just target a letter.  The tip will show which way the head needs to go.  for low poundage I have a lot of faith in lean and mean heads like the standard Grizzlies and the Hunter's Heads.
