I shot with a group of guys at an indoor archery shop in Dover NJ in 1984 when I was a young fellow. I only remember the name of one of them. Bob. I recall him looking like Grizzly Adams. He shot a Bighorn recurve and snuffers. All treated me very well and were a very positive influence. Any of you guys from that group out there?

Well I hope life has gone well for him and I hope he hunted all he wanted to. Thinking back he must be 70 or so now.

Bob goes to ETAR every year. If you ask around you will find him. Him and his crew camp near the start of the Western course.

Yep.....all Bighorns. I was so impressed with those guys and Bob when I was 18, I bought a Bighorn recurve as soon as I got stationed in Colorado in 1985.

I shot there in 1982-85! 12 years old at the time, what a great place! our parents would drop us off on weekends for a day at the range! the crew that hung-out was so cool, was bob the guy that would fall asleep at the counter? i remember going to a few weekend 3D shoots in Pennsylvania with groups from that range.
anyway... great memories! this is a pic of me at the range in 82

Bobby Duncan has been playing it safe with COVID around.  He is doing well, still shooting, hunting and working.  I will most likely talk to him this weekend.  Good memories of Wilderness, it is where I started shooting a recurve, Brackenbury at the time.  Not sure if Whittingham shoot is happening this year but Duncan usually gets there.  I still shoot with a lot of the guys from Wilderness that went to Accurate Archery when Duncan had it.  Great group!  We usually make ETAR and Muzzy each year.  Not sure what this year will bring yet.

Thanks for bringing up Wilderness.
