Well, here's a great hunting camp: 1. My son, the Apache Longbow pilot. 2. My good friends P.E. Forte, the professor and Rich Kearney the Irish storyteler. 3. E. Donnall Thomas, the camp medic. 4. Fred Asbell, the camp bowsmith.  5.  My lovely wife Rita, who will feed us all until we can't swallow no more. 6. Saxton Pope and Art Young to show us what real Traditional Archery is.

Any of the Trad Gang would be welcome in my camp and the coffee is always on.

My father so he could see what bowhunting really is.

The guy I have hunted with for the last 3 years. Charles is an excellent hunter and one who gives up far more tha  he takes. Example. 2 years ago I got deathly ill during elk season and couldn't hunt the rest of bow season. It just so happened I had a sheep tag(ewe) but was far 2 weak to do it myself. After trying several times with a bow, Charles and I went out with a rifle( my fathers faithful 30-06 my only rifle) and I got my sheep. He knew how weak my legs were and after dicing her up he thru it in his pack and said here is my coat and my rifle I'll meet you at the river( about a mile below us) and off he went. He wouldn't even take any sheep meat and I know he loves it as much as I do.

After that it is Dan Toelke. I hunted with him last season and would do it again in a NY second.

Can't wait to hunt with my 2 sons (Ricardo & Marco)!
But I would also love to meet and hunt with Mr. Fred Eichler. I believe his excitement is for real. I know he is a great Role Model for traditional Archer's across the globe.

1. My dad who I never went bow hunting with. He has passed and as far as I no never shoot a bow of any kind. Would like to have shared this with him I think he would have liked it.
2. My sons who I hunt with often, but never feel like I get to spend enough time.
3. My grandchildern who are all a little young right now, but I am looking forward to sharing this trad experience with each one of them and hope that it somehow sticks.
Slow down and enjoy life.  It's not only the scenery you
miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where
you are going and why.

I was bored at work tonight and got to thinking of all the bow hunters past and present I'd love to hunt with.  So name three hunters, past or present, you'd like to share a remote camp with for a week or so.
My paternal grandfather and his two brothers, Ray and Frank.

Billy

a TON of TG folks, my Gran'dad, brother-in-law Brent, but 3 that are well known..

I'd love to hunt with my late father again, Howard Hill, Jay Massey, other hunting notables, many trad gangers. I guess three ain't enough.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Goodbye Shiner you were always a good dog.

Yeah, I'm having big trouble narrowing it down as well.

I'll go for alive and dead to make it easier :-)

Alive:

1.  Ron La Clair (there would be a canoe involved)
2.  The Wensel Brothers, I would just hope some of that deer mojo would rub off on my clothes or something
3.  Any Tradganger kind enough to take a newbie like me under their wing.

Dead:

1.  My grandfather, for sure -- he hunted to feed his family through most of his early years and I would love to have been there, bow or no.

2.  Ishi -- I figure a couple years or so with him in the woods I'd probably start to get a clue.

3.  Howard Hill -- cuz, well, he's H.H. LOL
