For those, like me, who have a passion for Native American history, I would recommend reading "The Journey of Crazy Horse" by Joseph M. Marshall III. The account relies heavily on Lakota oral tradition passed down by generations. If you happen to be a descendant of Custer, just never mind!

Richard, I read somewhere that Crazy Horse spent most of his entire life within 50 miles of sheridan Wyoming.

Sounds like great reading. Just started a book called Crazy Horse the strange man of the Oglalas by Mari Sandoz. Actually befriended a disentant of Crazy Horse in 1968. Blackelk from Blackelk Speaks was Crazy Horses relation. My friend was Benjamin Blackelk the famous Blackelk holyman's son.
