A.S.

I just ordered a new Silvertip yesterday. I know there are plenty ST fans here. My main question is how do you like the checkered grip? I'll be shooting a lot of 3d with this bow and just don't know if the checkering will chew up my hand or not.

Thanks for any input.

Paul Collins

The checkered grip is very comfortable and doesn't irritate my hand at all, ever.

Mike Orton

The checkering will not hurt your skin in anyway, just as the same way the checkering on a rifle does not chew it up either.  It is a fine feature of the Silvertip line.

They are sweet, they will only chew on you if your brace height is wrong. Set correctly you will love it. Hey look A.S. its even left handed!

This just came back from Dave today, it had developed a hair line crack\\check in the riser. Came back looking like BRAND NEW.

I recommend the checkering. Especially when wearing gloves in the cold weather. The checkering won't allow the bow to torque with the glove.

Take care,
Kyle

Thanks guys, I just called and had the checkering added to my bow. Brent you have me drooling!!! It's going to be a long 9 months....I cant wait to get my hands on it!!!

a.s. had mine on order since january it is a long time but it really gives you time to think your order out.i will be changing my order again im sure.checkered grip stays though

A.S.

When I talked to Beth today, she said about 80% of their bows get the checkered grip. Sounds like they are pretty popular!

BlackDog

Another vote for the checkered grip here. Would not order one without it.

Woodduck

Cool. Anybody 'round here have one for me to shoot?

I sold mine because the draw was too heavy after several neck and shoulder surgeries, but I killed about 15 deer with it first. I loved the checkered grip.
