How come you are selling all your nice TD Recurve stuff and going with a Longbow?

I would like to see some pics of that Fox longbow.  I looked on their site and couldn't find a bow named the Royal Crown.  Am I looking in the right place?

Nala
Nala,

Neither the Royal Crown or the Triple Crown is on their website.  It hasn't been updated since Ron designed and built those two bows.  Larry Yien helped with the design of the Triple Crown.  It is D/R, but has a D-shape when strung and is IFAA and IBO legal.  The Royal Crown still has a bit of reflex when strung.

There will be some pics posted of my bow sometime tomorrow.  If they come to me in a PM, I'll post them in a separate thread on this forum.

Ferret/Van,

We've been married nearly 40 years, July 1, and it'll take more than another bow to get us to that point.  She's a sweetheart!

Ron makes a fine bow.  There is a product called alpha flex that will help your fingers. It's an omega 5 either lotion for immediate help or capsules for long term relief.  Started on it today for serious knee problem.  the inventor had serious problems and as he is a doctor, he started working on combination of things thaat could help him.  He now is very mobile.  I'll work it a week or so and let you know if you might look into it.

That sure is a purdy bow wildman.  Welcome back to the world of wood!

Bill, do you get a case of Four Corner Nabs with that Royal Crown?  :bigsmyl:    :biglaugh:  Only a guy from North Carolin will get that joke, I'm guessing.

I understand.  I went the same route several times.   I was a precision benchrest shooter... scopes, gadgets, reloading, etc.  The whole thing was too complicated and tense.  I worked my way down to traditional round ball flintlock muzzle loaders... no bolt actions, special firing mechanisms, sabots, etc.   When I got old enough my vision wouldn't let me shoot open iron sights any more, I switched to archery.   Same thing... went quickly from compound to recurve to longbow to Howard Hill longbows.   Utter simplicity.   Arrows... went the same way.  Startied with carbon and aluminum...  inserts, weights, different nock attaching systems.   Bah!   Went to wood... spine it, seal it, shoot it.   Simplicity keeps it enjoyable for me.   Please note, however, I didn't make it any cheaper... I keep buying Howard Hill bows...
