Morrison ILF ordered

Just got off the phone with Bob and he is now taking orders for the new ILF riser. Production should start in about 2 weeks as he says he is very close to how he wants it. I was looking very hard at the Dalaa but the metal riser did not float my boat. Now a bow similar to the Dalaa/Das and a WOOD riser, to much to resist.

As a DAS owner all I can say is wow! That looks sweet!
Any indications as to price and wait time?

What's the limb choice like? Or is that price riser only?
Been waiting for this since I first saw it!

Bob told me price $525 for the basic riser, additional $ for stripes in riser, exotic wood, pine cones. Said the wait should be 2-3 months until build time. Getting the ILF limbs will speed it up as he orders those.

$525 is riser only, your choice of limbs extra, his Cheyenne recurve limb or ILF limb you want or have. He recomends the winex ILF limb available new thru him or at Lancaster suppply.

Currently offereing the shorter 16" riser, makes a 58" bow with the medium length ILF limbs. His said going to his riser will add about 10 pounds to the limbs as listed on Lancaster.

Now the hard part, waiting.

This will open up a lot of possabilities for those who don't care for metal risers.
ILF limbs come in enough sizes, weights, materials and prices to satisfy everyone.

There goes the market for cheap limbs!

Are they gonna have a fitting for berger buttons? If you really want to get close to a DAS in shootability really need a berger button to tune i.e. "Tune for Tens".

I believe Bob said he can adapt riser for plunger, and use an elevated rest.

I don't understand what the advantage to these limbs would be. Are they that much smoother,faster or what. I have never seen one yet.

Two of the advantages are adjustable tiller (after it's made!) and adjustable weight (by about 5#'s total).

ILF limbs, within the limitations of the weight (your not going to get 70 lb. limbs, most likely) are highly devleoped and tested.

The limbs Morrison is recommending are extrmely smooth, very little that even appears as stacking, like going form 2 lb. per inch past 28 to 2.5 lb. They are extremely stable.  They feel MUCH lighter than most limbs, and are pretty fast, maybe in the top 10%.

IMO, the tiller is nice but probably won't be needed by all that many people, and the adjustment range on the pull is good for tuning the bow to the arrow. Makes it easier to get perfect arrow flight.

I would guess that there is really a limited market for this riser/limb combintion, right now - as more people learn of the option, more demand.  I just think that Morrison is just doing what he has been doing for years, working on a better mousetrap.We win. If he was just in it for the money, he can probably make all the bows he can with current designs.  He found something that he thinks is probably a good thing.

Wait until he makes some of his longbow limbs in ILF fittings, and Black Swan starts making his available, and Adcock does and Border does.... What will happen then.

From what i've read, I think the intent (and he sure is being lobbyied for this) is to make the limbs with ILF fittings.  Wouldn't it be fun to see Morrison or Adcock or Swan or Border longbow limbs on an Olympic bow AT the Olympics"

The only thing is that the companies that make the ILf limbs like Win & Win, and Samick and Hoyt spend millions on product development.  The product happens to be recurve limbs.  Limb development is pretty unknown in the compound world - it isn't too necessary, with the trend to parallel limb bows (why does that sound so, well odd) All many compound bows is need to flex a couple of inches maybe and then not screw up the shot - basically hold the cams in alignment. IMO.

sweet jesus them bows look great! not only will this be great fer us target shooters...i might be able to still shoot a "stick" in college!!!
i will say this about ilf limbs, with foam/carbons being the newest best thing, your going to see alot more bows like win & wins winex limbs, which are made up to 50 lbs and are actually made to feel like a let off, similar to a compound, they actually purpously stack(not enough to be uncomfortable) but then smooth out in the area where the clicker would be, your going to see alot of people with problems with rotator cuffs and other shoulder troubles shoot this style of limb, and this riser just makes it oh so much sweeter to do instead of ona them cherry red numbers like i bought
