Is the actor Dale Dye the fairly renowned bowyer too?

No.  The actor is the white haired guy who is in military movies.  Dale Dye the bowyer is a retired sheriff of I believe Ravali county in Montana.  Joseph

OK thanks. I didn't think it was so; but I know Dale Dye was a Marine and Marines seem to be drawn to traditional archery after they resume civilian practices.

Dale Dye is a retired Marine public affaris type. He did serve as an enlisted grunt in RVN. He's pretty much a regular guy, but in all the years I knew him he never had anything that looked like a bow near him.  I think he wrote a book, too. "Run between the Raindrops" but I'm not sure about that.
