I'll be there! This is one of the top shoots in Texas with a great format!

Hope to see y'all there!

I drive 600 mi one way every year for this shoot, while ignoring most of the local shoots. It's worth it.

Is this the one your bow has to fit bbn into a jig of some type?  Wood arrows only?
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Yeah I won't be shooting that one.  I'm pretty sure my bow is legal.  But no wood arrows.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Squirrel Hunter

Sad. A ma without wood arrows is like a badger without incisors

Come to the shoot and I'll loan you a few.

Squirrel Hunter

Seriously, let me know what weight you're shooting and, if I have some arrows to match, I can have some at the shoot for you.

Big River 21st Century clone fit through the jig?  Not that I'd get the weekend off!

I read somewhere there will not be a bow riser restriction anymore.  Just must be a one piece longbow.  Wood arrows as always.  Hope this is correct.

I haven't heard this, but hope it's true! A couple years ago I suggested that they also add a class for carbon/aluminum arrows. My suggestion was to keep the emphasis (buckle most places) on the wood arrow class, but to help bolster attendance, add a class for takedown bows or other than wood arrows.

I have often heard about this event, but Texas is a mighty long way to drive fore a shoot. While that doesn't necessarily turn me off, the wife would raise a fuss. I know it would be fun, since I only shoot longbow with wooden arrows.

I've always wanted to make it as well, talked to David Sykes several times, class guy.

It always falls the week before my event and I couldn't make it.

Was going to really try last year because Memorial Day fell two weeks before mine, AND OF COURSE, Covid hit.

Always heard great things about this event, maybe one day.
