I have a gift card for "that site" and am thinking of buying a real tree stand harness. Does anyone use one they really like? Thanks

Probably a lot more threads on here touching this, but here is a recent one.

I have been using a climbing harness for probably 8 years now and am a big fan of them. Something to chew on before spending that hard earned money or in this case the gift card.

Last year I used a vest/harness called Tree Spider. I liked it a lot. Very convenient on and off compared to the jumble of straps that come with most tree stands.

I've had a lot of different harnesses over the years and tried a lot of the major brands.  The one that I am using now is made by muddy.  It is light weight and comfortable.  There are more substantial harnesses out there, but they weigh significantly more.  That doesn't sound like a big deal, but it directly relates to comfort and that relates to how long you sit.

Well, I want a harness that is comfortable, and that will work the ONE  time I need it.  Once is all it has to work cause with the break away straps you're gonna need a new one after that.  I neither want or need one that is heavy duty enough for me to do arborist work with it.  If your like most of us, it's insurance you'll never use. :coffee:

Thanks for the info gentlemen. I'm still looking and thinking. Leaning toward something in a vest type with camo...
