Sitting in the house and not getting out like I'm use to has caused a problem.....shopping on the internet0
I love knives and I have more that anyone needs but I recently found a couple I thought I couldn't live without
This one is Bark River's copy of the Edwin Forrest Bowie. The original knife was made by Resis Bowie for his brother Jim. Suppoosedly Jim used the knife in the famous Sand Bar Dual and killed one of his attackers with it.
Edwin Forrest was an actor in the day and a friend of Jims. Jim gave Edwin the knife and it was discovered in the Forrest estate in 1980.
Anyway, here is the copy of that knife, 12.4" blade, 17" overall.

This is a Tahoma Field knife made by Top's. Blade is 1095 8 1/2" long. It was made to be a bush craft / survival knife. A handy tool to have anytime you're in the woods.

Ron, did you buy your Tahoma knife direct from Tops? I did some web surfing after I saw your other post about it, and saw that you could buy it at quite a reduced price from a big retailer.  My only concern with the one with the reduced price made me think of the old adage, you get what you pay for.  Thanks.

I bough it direct from Andy Tran from his site "Interbark outdoors". The reason because I wanted the leather sheath shown on his site. Andy was very helpful and I got the knife very fast.

Thanks Ron, I'll have to check out his site as I think I'd like the leather sheath as well.
