On a typical Recurve, how many #'s do you think you would loose from 1 3/4" down to 1 1/2" wide limbs?

I'm guessing 15% by the ol 2 times wider is 2 times stronger theory...?

Twice as wide is twice as strong makes since.

Only way to really know is to do it. I never had much luck playing with weight like that on recurve. There really isn't enough thickness to trap and when you start playing with width. It is just way too easy for a thin limb like that to twist. If I were going to try it I would make a full bow template from a stiffer material and clamp it to the bow and then draw new profile.

Thanks for the Info.
Binghams draw weight chart shows .006 stack change or 5# difference  ;)
