I recently finished up a few new bows.  The first one is snakey osage with coral snake skins.  A friend of mine did most of the bow work.  It opened a side crack as he was shooting it in.  He filled it with superglue and gave up on the bow.  He gave it to me since I have a shorter draw length.  I sinew wrapped the crack and it shoots fine.  I traded for the coral skins 3 years ago.  I've been saving them for something special.  They were really old and had moth holes in them.  The skins wouldn't flex around the bends in the wood so I had to cut and splice them at every curve.

The next one is a short bend in the handle bow. It's backed with a corn snake skin I think. It was a gift from a friend.

These two bows are for the PA bow trade. The darker bow is full of lead pellets. It looks like it took a shot from a rabbit hunter several years before it was cut. I pulled a few pellets out of the belly as I was thinning the limbs. In one of the knots on the back you can see a pellet lodged in the wood. I tried to get a picture of it. It has a kink out of the lower fade that makes the brace and full draw look a little off.

You are starting to get the hang of those selfbows, Clint.    ;)   Very nice work indeed!

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Those bows look terrific!  Beautiful work
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Stunning work my friend! I saw the teaser pics on FB and knew at some point it that coral bow would pop up here. That should definitely be entered into the PA bow of the month.
