Ash wood fiberglas bow?

hello friends, I am considering using ash wood instead of maple on glass bow.
you believe ? nice bows out ?

Ash is very good core lam wood. Strong and springy.. And purty.

I have to study how to hang pictures to teach my workshop.

Ash makes an excellent bow wood.  It's one of the no cost choices on our base (North American Hardwood) bows.

Pressed "post" on accident lol. Anyway I'm glad I seen this thread I'm thinking of building a laminated bow with ash core as well. Good to know it'll work. Good luck.

This gets away from the post a little, but how does Ash go as a belly wood? Or as a backing or self board bow?

I've got a number of Ash logs that I've milled into boards and I know the roundbacks will be good for staves. I'm curious if the straightgrained boards might be used like a Red Oak board bow?
