Good job Mark!

What did the draw weight end up being on that riser?

Not sure what the draw weight is (don't have a scale), but it feels around 50# on this riser. That's just a guess based on the other bows I have but I'd say it is pretty close.

Here is the full draw pic, don't mind me...

The only thing I see is that it almost hinges at the fades. But if you look at the braced picture, it doesn't look like it gets any worse between braced and drawn. Maybe use a 20" or so powerlam on the next one and thin the profile a but towards the tips to get a more even profile and bend? or eve just make the wedge a little longer? Just throwing some ideas out there, any and all input is greatly appreciated!

Did you use a tapered lamination? Looks like it could used a power wedge to move the stress away from the fades. Great start for a first limb!!!
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

After looking at the unbraced, braced and full draw, I don think its hinged at the fades really. It may be bending a tad more at the fades as is common, but it looks hinged mainly just because of the unbraced shape.

If you look at the unbraced limb you can see what I'm talking about. The whole limb has reflex except that section right at the fades which is either straight or even a hair deflexed.

So are you happy with the way it shoots?

That's sort of what I was thinking Ben.

John, definitely happy with it. Heck, I was going to be happy if it shot at all. It is about average speed, pretty quiet, smooth as butter, and looks alright. Not much else I can ask for, especially for the first one. Definitely some things I'm already thinking about changing up for the next set, and in the mean time hoping to put a doe down with it yet this year!
