I started talking about building a 58" belly mounted longbow on a 13" riser. I finally got it finished so I'm posting the end of the story. I have to decide if I'm going to paint this camo but for now its sealed with finish. The particulars; 58" nock to nock, 46.8# at 28", 7" brace height, 13" belly mount riser. There are two parallels and a .003" per inch taper, the limb pad angle is 9 degrees, no power lams or tip wedges. The wedges are .275" thick to the end of the riser then have a taper at 5 degrees and the tapered portion extends 5 3/8" past the riser on each end. Its turned out ok for the prototype and I can see things I'll change on the next one. The limbs are double bolted with one locator pin. I like how it shoots and it will work great in my popup blind.
Take care gentlemen.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Wow... I really like it!  I have always wanted to build a belly mount bow and now I think I might!
Great job!

I would rather fail at something above my means, than to succeed at something  beneath my means
