I am trying out Photobucket to paste some pics of bows I have made, and one new one currently under way.
A 61" T.D. for my southpaw friend.

A walnut T.D and a Bubinga T.D

The new bow I am currently working on.

A view of the new shop, note the snow in the window.

Looking good. Are you making two limbs in one form? Bue--.

The "Beast". My Dad and I built this long bow in 1982, it is 72 lbs.@28" and 67" long. I wanted to use it for moose hunting but never had the opportunity (moose permit by lottery only in Maine).

@Buemaker, Yes, I make both limbs for T.D. at the same time and later cut in half to have two limbs.

This bow form is the same one my Father made in 1976, still perfect!

Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

Nice work on the bows and it looks like you have a good work space there. Keep us posted on your builds.

I dream of someday making a bow like that... are there build alongs for bows like that?

Dmaxshawn

nice looking bows and that snows pretty high up on the winder

Here is the new 58" T.D. No specs on it just yet, she is strung low at the moment.

Also the new 57" on a new never tried form. She is Cherry wood with a strip of East India Rosewood  and Dogwood in the handle. The limbs are dyed Red Mahogany color.Still have to cut off the limb tips, a lot.

Can I ask why  Charlie you are using 2 alignment pins.  Some use the tried and true 1 pin, others use 2 bolts.  What is the biggy 'thar...

I really like that 1 piece! I mean they are all fine work, but the design on that one piece speaks to me. Would love to see it finished

Charlie Hinkel

Thank you all for the nice comments, it really encourages me to go on.
Hey Woftrail, I'm not sure which picture you saw two alignment pins, but I use only one pin and either a 5/16 stainless bolt or an insert in the handle to accept a 5/16" bolt. I had thought about two pins in the past, but did not feel the need.

The one piece bow is coming along, it needs final sanding and a finish so I will post pics when I can.
