Hey, it's been awhile since I felt like building something, and iI'm wanting to learn to make fiberglass or wood and fiberglass bows or limbs for my takedown recurve. I'm thinking about rebacking a board bow that I made that came out to be about 36 lb and hoping to make it closer to 50. It is currently backed with silk cloth, thought it might be a good way to get my feet wet.. Also I have some Bondo resin and cloth ( from Home Depot) , can this be used or do I need something thats made to be flexed?
Thanks, Dennis

Give that bow to a kid and make yourself another.

What Pat said!  Board bows can be made with that bondo resin and cloth; but a true wood-glass composite will require real bow making fiberglass strips, a form, and Smooth-On epoxy not the other stuff.
