How would guys go about fixing this. It's a friends bow who is scared to shoot it and asked me to fix it. I was thinking about sanding down the area with the crack and adding an overlay. Any other ideas?

By the way, if the photo is huge i'm sorry. The new photobucket threw me a curve.

Thanks

I would probably just put some glue in it and forget about it. You could also wrap it with silk and soak it. You could also cut it off and then cut the other side to match then tiller again with a shorter bow and add some overlays, but that might be more work then your looking for.  I would just use some glue and forget about it. It probably doesn't bend there anyway.

Super glue and a wrap should do the trick.

So silk wrap will be the best? What type of glue should I soak the silk in?

Thanks guys

Superglue. I use the cheap stuff from wall mart four tubes for 97 cents.

I don't see the crack but I've fixed those kinds of problems by just gluing on a piece of wood. Jawge
