wood carver 2

Buzz, that's the one. I'll be picking one up next time I'm there. Check out the hand cut rasps in the same catalog. I have an 8" one and it's great. They also have some Japanese wood files that I want to try out. I carve a lot, so I have a bunch of rasps from the larger ones down to a set of needle rasps. Lee Valley is my go to store for them . Most of them are affordable and they're all high quality.

Best price I've found for the nicholsons are surprisingly on amazon. Got both the 49 & 50 for $77 shipped. The cheapest very useful rasp I've picked up was a 8"  kobalt woodcraft file at lowes for about $8.

Man, now I want to buy a whole bunch of rasps! Darn you people and your helpfulness!  :p    :smileystooges:
