That's some nice figuring there.  Nice call on showing as much of it as possible.
That's a great shaped handle too.

My father and I use inlays all the time in custom gun stocks. I wanted too do a simple diamond inlay to get everyone's opinion on it before I went through the detailed stuff. They are not as hard as they look I could do a quick build along the next one I do if you all want.

just put some purple heart overlays and counter sunk the limb bolts still finishing it up though [/url] [/IMG]

hopefully that isn't a high poundage bow you got there brutha..... using a solid block of english walnut like that without any reinforcement is rolling the dice on a riser failure....

nice inlay job... i hope she holds together for you.


btw.... you see all these bows out there with footings and accent lines and such.... well they are not all there just for looks.... food for thought... kirk

Kirk thanks for the advice buddy. This bow is 50# I shot it about 100 times before putting the finish on it. I basically built it to kill a deer and hang on the wall. I have had some black walnut fail me before though. I appreciate it. As far as the build along for inlays I could do something up when I get a little free time
