It's been a long while since I've posted on the forum and even longer since I've built a bow.  Haven't been hunting much in the last couple of years but I received an invitation to hunt one of the most populated areas in Virginia. So I finished a glue-up I started and left on the back burner a couple years ago.  It's Bamboo backed osage with a curley maple power lam and accent in the handle.  This is the first time I've built a bow with a shaped handle and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  All creations are not without there imperfections however.  In my haste to finish this bow I got in a hurry when I was scraping the sides to shape and ended up with a few spots that are a little out of line. She still shoots good though.  I haven't scaled it since the final sanding but it was around 55@28 before started sanding so I'm guessing 51'ish.

Hope ya'll like it.

Clint, it has been a while, good to see you. I think you did real good, I like the handle too.

That'll be pretty with a finish on it!

Thanks everybody.

Tom, I think you're right.  In the interest in saving a dollar I'm probably going with a Massey finish and then knock the sheen down with some 600.  Should look pretty good.

Hey Clint,
You got a real beauty there.

Thats some graceful curves on that bow.  Everything flows fluid and rounded.  Love it.
