I read somewhere a while back that someone used tru oil as a finish sprayed through an air brush. Has anyone ever done this?? If so, did you have to thin it and if so how?? Thanks

Adam, not sure about spraying, probably could with the right catalyst. Thunderbyrd finish is a great one sprayed or brushed on. What are you using it for? Steve

I think Tru-Oil also comes in a spray can.

Check on Daley's Pro-fin, It was recommended by a bowyer. I am going to give a try on my next project.  If you are doing it by hand, marine varnish which comes in satin, or gloss is ideal if you have to touch up later. Let it dry thoroughly, and sand with 220 then 600 wet. Marine varnish also comes in a spray can. Search for both products on-line.

Tru oil does come in a spray can, problem with sprays however is shipping, must go UPS and unless you are buying something else the shipping will out weight the spray. You can spray through a spray gun and I use Naptha to thin the tru-oil
