This is the third attempt at building from a blank. the blank was glued up and had the limbs shaped by lindell beene of   www.lakesidearchery.net  .He does great work. The two previous were also roughed in by him. This one i didn't alot more work on.i'll eventually do everything fromglue up to finishing as i progress.
It's a 60" hybrid that leans more toward recurve but has the narrower 1 1/2" limbs and a firly straight unstrung profile. Itr pulls around 45-50#.I need to put it on a good scale.
The woods are Chechen and Stripe Maple with Rosewood accent strips on the riser. The Maple is dark streaked heartwood.I didn't stain it.
I'm looking for all feedback "Good ,Bad Ugly"

thanks

I think it looks great.  That is one purty bow.

I can't comment on much more than the appearance because I am too new to this.  Post some pics of it braced and drawn and others will chime in with their critique of the tiller etc.

That's a beauty, Paul!  The riser shape and wood combination is really sharp.  The strung (limb) profile kind of reminds me of some of the old Bears, like the Bearcat and Cub.  Pretty cool!

This forum sees some pretty sporadic traffic sometimes.  I'll bet you get plenty of comments as more people see this thread, bow-blank or not!

looks like a shooter to me.  looks like it has a tip wedge to keep that much of the recurve.  i'll bet its pretty quick.

thanks guys.the tips are as in the unstrung pic.I laminated three thin reinforcements on each. 2 Chechen,1 Maple.
these do seem pretty quick to me also.i was going to try to put the old Grizzly  Static tips on it but wasn't ready to try that yet.

kennym

Stay sharp, Kenny.

here's the fulldraw picture. It's at 28".Is the bottom limb too stiff?Sure resembles a static tip doesn't it?I really like the profile.
 What do you Bowyers think?

Tiller looks great to me...Great job!..I really like that profile as well and I bet it shoots great...I experimented with a bow which had a very similar profile and it was a smooth shooter..
