I just really like your knives, Lin... And I feel all kinds of fortunate to get to see so many of them being "born" here. The more knives I try to make (and fail at several points), the more I appreciate how good of a craftsman you really are. I recently tried to do a raised clip mini Bowie and learned quickly how difficult they are. Your sharpened clip looks very nice.

I've made the rat tailed knives lately and decided I'd better make a bowie that's finished on all sides.

I had forged and heat treated this blade a while back and decided it was time. It cuts great and held up to chopping on mule deer antler.

That old hard antler can definitely tell a guy about the heat treat. I've had one chip all to heck when taken to an old piece of antler. The next made me more than a little nervous, but it held up fantastic and still shaved hair after. I look forward to seeing this one finished. Stag or some nice wood for the handle?

Classic Rhea goodness.    
I like moose antler for testing the edge.......sure separates the wheat from the chaff in a hurry!
