I received a lot of 3 VPAs 3 blades in a trade, knowing in advance that one had a curly tip after hitting a rock.

With a propane torch I heated the first third to bright orange and hammered the point back in line.

Then I heated the head to glowing cherry and quenched it in water



I then resharpened it and it spins true.

What do you think of the usability of this BH?
At least I have a small game head now

Manny, if you can sharpen it with a file, it will be ok. If the file skips across the area that you re hardened, you will need to draw the hardness back by placing the head into an oven at 350 degrees or so for a couple of hours. Test it again with the file. If the file still skips, raise the oven temp to 375 and do it again till the file will cut it with some resistance. That is when it is good.
