I just saw a post where a guy is making a handle out of an Oosik and it reminded me of another guy down here in Texas who went to the University of Texas. Well there mascot is a Longhorn steer,so this fella ground up some Longhorn dung, mixed it with epoxy, and made a ball point  pen out of it!Just a useless bit of usefull information.

A swedish knifemaker, I think his name is Bror Näslund, makes knives out of recycled plastic and other strange materials! Darn nice ones as well!  :)

yep...they make micarta like material from old blue jeans.... I've seen armadillo shell...just about any inert material, with patience and the proper technique, can be made into a knife scale or handle.

Also, Norwegian knifemaker Morten Håkonsen has made a knife with coffeebeans molded into parts of the handle. Apaprently the knife smelled vaguely of coffee  :)
