Thanx fellas    :notworthy:

KTJ, My bow is 56" and no I don't have any problem shooting it out of the blind.

No hunt with Cade, he decided to sleep in because his grandma is up from Fl....maybe next Sun.(my only day to hunt). Man did I have a killer set up waiting for him this morning too!  I decided not to hunt that bird hoping he's still roosting there next weekend. I have Miss Faith Striker here too,so as time permits this week,I'm gonna work on getting her set up to kill a bird with this coming weekend.....how cool would it be to have Cade there......

Thanx guys....

Joey, I don't think I've killed a bird in a prettier place...I love the stone wall back round too!

Check this out....

After I'd shot my bird and he layed out for a couple minutes, I hear a hen start calling almost directly above me.... a few seconds later she pitches out and lands about 30yds away.......

She seemed to be waiting for him...then after a few minutes she lays right down in a submissive posture seemingly trying to lure him over......

After about a minute she gave up and picked her way out of the field.....

Well after two days of plane flights and landing back at work the first thread I look into is my mate the "Guru" having a fine hunt.

Well done mate and thank you for posting the pics and videos.

Sure is green there too. My favorite colour... green.

Congrats Curt! I love hunting next to those stone walls. Places I hunt have them as well. Lot's of mojo in those walls.

I am SO glad you got a turkey!
I saw that pic with the blood and the string...I was afraid that you had shot a  monster  spider!

No "turkey Guru" here guys, I just work at it harder than most.....I just love watching and figuring them out. I'm still up early before work every morning watching "my" birds in anticipation of this Sundays hunt with Miss Faith Striker, and Cade...first time out for him. Watched two jakes in one spot, a long beard I've seen in the same spot every day for the last week in another part of the same orchard. And two big toms at another spot......so far so good for the big hunt this Sunday!!
